The New York Show hero: Subaru WRX Concept
Subaru has presented the fresh all-wheel rally-inspired WRX model.
The absence of transmission details is very disappointing, but Japanese unveiled a few important facts about the new vehicle: it is few inches shorter in length, about 4 inches wider and lower comparing to the current model. The low roof and carbon fiber will improve WRX center of gravity. The car is also equipped with a carbon fiber rear diffuser.
But the main feature is the look, which is very similar to Jaguar. Any appearance of the racer roots will be carefully removed if the vehicle turns out to look anything like that.
Nevertheless, the model gains more mature look with the help of shining grille, huge vents around the fog lights and striking back headlights.
The wide stance and powerful character lines continue around the sides and over to the deck lid which is designed to function as a spoiler. Subaru cannot resist playing with a several neon accents while trying to take a more serious approach to the next WRX generation.
The WRX emblem is built into the grille, the brakes and even the exhaust pipes are fluorescent yellow.
