Subaru has announced the debut of a unique Outback

As early as March 30, Subaru will unveil a new version of the Outback off-road station wagon. 

The novelty is a particular version of the car with the Wilderness Edition prefix. Motor1 informs that similar extreme variations will appear in other models of the Japanese company in the future.

A special station wagon will be different in appearance and technical aspects. Published images show that the car will get extra protection with new tires. Expect higher ground clearance, upgraded suspension with bumpers and protective plates.

Rumors say that the car will have the same units as the new Subaru Outback generation: 2.4-liter turbo-four with 264 hp and 375 Nm, 2.5 liters 4-cylinder atmospheric engine with 185 hp and 240 Nm. The engines cooperate with a variator with eight virtual speeds and an all-wheel-drive system.
