Subaru Impreza will be Constructed in US at the Beginning of 2016

Subaru is going to increase productivity at its plant in Indiana by 30 %, adding employees to construct the Impreza in 2016.

The plant in Lafayette, Indiana currently has about 3,600 employees and constructs the Legacy, Outback, and Tribeca vehicles. The factory is also responsible for constructing the Toyota Camry. According to sources, hundreds of workplaces will be added with the enlargement; however an investment figure was not unveiled.

During the last five years, Subaru has doubled sales, which are up 17% through April this year. Previous year, the Japanese brand experienced a 36% increase, selling a total of 336,000 vehicles.

The Impreza is currently constructed in Gunma, Japan, but sales has fallen 31% this year mostly due to a lack of inventory. Nowadays the brand has sufficiently Imprezas on the ground to provide dealers for 29 days – a 60-day supply is considered normal.
