Big Savings! Subaru Slashes Price of 2025 Solterra

Subaru Cuts the Price of the 2025 Solterra

Subaru is making waves by offering a substantial price reduction on the 2025 Solterra. The crossover's manufacturer's suggested retail price is now $6,500 lower than before, bringing the starting price down to $39,915 for the entry-level Solterra Premium. This is a significant discount compared to the previous model, which started at $46,340. Even the higher trims of the 2025 Solterra experience price drops, with the Solterra Limited priced at $43,415 and the Solterra Touring priced at $46,415.

Introducing the Solterra Touring Onyx Edition

In addition to the existing trims, Subaru is introducing a special edition for the 2025 Solterra lineup. The Solterra Touring Onyx Edition is priced at $46,915 and features exclusive black aluminum-alloy wheels, black trim, and black exterior badging. The interior is upgraded with black door accents and black StarTex trimmed upholstery.

Easing the Burden of EV Ownership

The price cuts on electric vehicles are becoming more common, benefiting new buyers and posing a challenge for existing owners who paid higher prices. Subaru follows the trend set by Ford's price reduction on the Mustang Mach-E and Nissan's cheaper Ariya for 2024. This reduction in price is a positive change that hopefully becomes the new standard in the electric vehicle market.

Comparison with the Toyota bZ4X

Subaru sets itself apart in the EV market by making all-wheel drive standard on the Solterra, unlike the entry-level Toyota bZ4X, which only powers the front wheels. The Solterra offers great value for money, especially with its reduced starting price.

The 2025 Solterra will be available for purchase early next year.
