2014 SRT Viper TA is a Sports Vehicle
The 2014 SRT Viper TA will start arriving U.S. dealerships in the 4th quarter of 2013 and will be framed to only 159 models.
For the 2014 model year, the SRT Viper TA will be available in TA Orange (93 cars), Venom Black (33 cars) and Bright White (33 cars). The 2013 SRT Viper TA was framed to just 33 models, all in TA Orange. Enhanced by an 8.4-liter V10 motor, the SRT Viper TA will boast 641 hp and 601 lb-ft of torque, but the special edition version also features a fine collection of enhancements to make it more than track ready.
“The fresh 2014 SRT Viper TA is constructed for the serious performance clients who need a vehicle that can be driven every day yet has mind-boggling limits on a road course that would rival many track-only vehicles,” informed SRT CEO Ralph Gilles.
Moreover, for starters, the two-mode Bilstein DampTronic suspension system includes a special race-tuned calibration while the springs, shocks and sway bars are all retuned in comparison to the regular SRT Viper. A lighter, carbon fiber structure X-brace substitutes the regular aluminum brace under the hood, tying the 4 corners of the motor compartment together. This helps contribute to the 50 % boost in torsional rigidity and stiffness across the Viper lineup.
Additionally, there are the new 2-piece Brembo rotors and pads that help to increase heat dissipation, providing enhanced extreme use. And certainly there’s the Advanced Aerodynamics Package that features carbon fiber front splitters and a rear spoiler to improve downforce at high speeds, with up to a 700-% boost at 151 mph.
Weighing in at 3,380 pounds, the SRT Viper TA is one mean vehicle for the streets that can easily rival even with more expensive sports vehicles on the track.
