Skoda Octavia RS Leakage Might Conceal 276 HP
Car spies have spotted a prototype of Skoda Octavia RS and given start to allegations about model disguise.
Previously Skoda mentioned that a celebratory RS would appear to commemorate the first 130 RS. The promised car had to deliver 276 hp creating a 59-hp benefit. Combining these premises and the current leakage, one might assume that the prototype dubbed Combi RS with Audi TT wheels might just be the case.
A whole mixture of brands is connected with the release. For instance, Combi RS is expected to preview a kind of upcoming Volkswagen Golf R featuring 2WD and slightly lower output. VW will also supply the motor – a V4 turbo with the displacement of 2.0 litres, - and not only to Skoda, but also to Seat. Improvements in powerplant department are also expected allowing the Czech vehicle to take 6 seconds for a 62-mph sprint, which is almost a full second quicker than the standard Octavia RS.
Autumn release in Germany is speculated for the model. Skoda already has an experience of a booth booked in Essen with its RS+ cancelled in the aftermath.
