Rendering of Skoda Snowman / Polar before its Reveal in the end of 2015

The coming-soon seven-seat SUV from Skoda has been speculatively envisioned before its official presentation scheduled for the end of 2015.

The vehicle was snapshot by our spy paparazzi nearly two months ago. It had the body of the Yeti at that time. Though, the model will be much larger than the Yeti. The SUV under consideration is said to have enough room for two more seats in its rear part. The car is going to become the first SUV from Skoda which rides on the MQB B platform. By the way, the overall length of the car will probably be near 4.6 metres. As to the Yeti, its length is 4.22 metres.

According to the reports, the automaker will use “Polar” or “Snowman” moniker for the seven-seat car. The SUV will benefit from a FWD layout on the lesser variants. At the same time, more expensive vehicles with beefier engines will receive an all-wheel drive system. As to the design, it is going to be influenced by the producer’s latest Superb. In fact, the Superb is an evolution of production version of the VisionC concept from the last year.

Almost all modern Skodas are among the vehicles which are the most spacious and the SUV under consideration is not an exception in its class. The vehicle will offer real off-road capabilities and huge towing capacity. The SUV is going to be built at its home country, Czech Republic, at the Kvasiny plant. It is scheduled to arrive at the markets in the first part of 2016. Before that, it will be revealed sometime in the end of 2015.
