New Skoda Octavia RS turned into a police car
A batch of the fourth generation Skoda Octavia RS has appeared in the equipment of the British police.
Carscoops writes that the liftback has select signals for the roof, a yellow-blue livery, a unique communication system, and flashing beacons. After some time, the cars will receive unique cameras for fixing violations with a department for service dogs' transportation.
The police car is set in motion by a 2.0-liter "turbo-four" with a capacity of 245 "horsepower" and 370 Nm. The liftback only has a front-wheel-drive system, and the transmissions are 6-speed manual gearboxes or DGS. The first 100 km per hour is gained by the car in 6.7 seconds at a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Each vehicle is equipped with a sports suspension with a multi-link at the rear.
The police Octavia differs from the standard version with 19-inch alloy wheels, a complete bumper, a black radiator, a sports exhaust system with two trapezoidal tailpipes, a spoiler, and a diffuser. The model also has red brake calipers and LED optics.
