Rendering of SEAT Ibiza-Based Crossover before 2017
The crossover based on the SEAT Ibiza has been digitally envisioned before its gossiped market launch scheduled for 2017.
SEAT, which is owned by Volkswagen, is busy with its crossovers. Now the automaker wants to catch up for the time they have lost by cooking a compact offering for the next year. According to the reports, a subcompact crossover scheduled for 2017 will follow it. One of the last rumours assures that it will spawn from the next-gen Ibiza. Moreover, it was said that the car will share a lot of details with the coming-soon Volkswagen Taigun.
The model will be equipped with a shortened variant of the MQB platform. Besides, it will be a piece of the automaker’s turnaround scheme that will foresee a bigger crossover previewed by the 20V20 concept. By the way, the last one will take place in the mid-size area. Expect it to be marketed earlier than this decade ends.
