Leon Cupra turned into a hybrid

Seat has unveiled the hot hatch and wagon Leon of the new generation, which are sold on behalf of the Cupra brand.

For the first time, a hybrid installation in one of the modifications is installed in the car. We are talking about a 1.4-liter supercharged unit that works together with an electric motor that takes energy from the battery for 13 kilowatt-hours. Together, the engines develop 245 horsepower and 400 Nm. Fully charged batteries provide electric driving up to 60 km. By the way, a similar installation will appear in the new Skoda Octavia RS.

The brand new Cupra Leon will also have traditional engines - 2.0-liter turbo fours. The base version is given 245 hp. and 370 Nm, and a more powerful version of this unit - 300 horsepower and 400 Nm. Machines with similar engines have front-wheel drive, differential lock, and DSG “robot.”

The top-end version of the Cupra Leon Sportswagon station wagon has a 310-horsepower engine and an all-wheel-drive system. Such a car accelerates to “hundred” in 4.8 seconds at a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
