310 HP For SEAT Leon Cupra R
When SEAT presented the mid-cycle refresh for the Leon line-up, the gorgeous Cupra offering got 10 more hp (so, it has 300 hp in total now). However, this is still less than the Euro-spec Volkswagen Golf R facelift.
The compact hatch can match the grunt provided by the counterpart from Wolfsburg thankfully to an innovated R variant with 310 hp.
The Leon Cupra R is going to become a special edition. There will be only 799 cars produced. Note, that the variant featuring a 6-speed manual gearbox will come with the 310 hp. Meanwhile the DSG-equipped offering will produce 300 hp. The “R” badge does not mean that this is an AWD vehicle, by the way. The high-end Leon is available with a front-wheel drive option only.
You will get a chance to choose from the regular Midnight Black and Pyrenees Grey body colours. Besides, there will be a more costly Matte Grey paint available. The production units will have modified Brembo brakes, a tweaked variant of the Dynamic Chassis Control set-up and an innovated exhaust system.
Expect the model under consideration to bow at this year’s Motor Show held in Frankfurt.
