Renault wants to give up gasoline cars
Renault is ready to ultimately convert its cars to electricity in European countries by 2030.
Automotive News writes about this, citing the words of Renault CEO Luca de Meo.
Soon the French will expand the lineup of eco transport in Europe, and it will happen after the appearance of the newest crossover Megane E-Tech. Mass production of the car will start in February. Megane E-Tech will have two versions with electric drive: 130 hp and 250 Nm and 218 hp and 300 Nm. Cruising range will be up to 470 km.
The company also plans to make electric Alpine brand cars. Today this brand is engaged in producing a model A110, which is powered by 1.8 liters turbocharged gasoline engines.
