FCA Recalls 1 Million Ram Trucks
FCA is making a recall for about 1 million Ram pickup trucks in America. There is an issued with a software. It can prevent air bags from deploying.
The recall has to deal with certain model year 2013 to 2016 Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups and 2014 to 2016 Ram 3500 trucks. By the way, the recall is linked to 1 death, 2 accidents and 2 injuries.
The problem occurred with faulty software helping to control the deployment of restraint set-ups in rollover situations. The trucks under consideration feature software that can incorrectly conclude that a sensor has failed. If this happens, then the side air bags will be disabled as well as seatbelt pretensioners.
The recall deals with 216,007 cars in Canada, 21,530 units outside NAFTA regions and 21,668 vehicles in Mexico. FCA will notify clients of the recall.
