PSA-based Opel Mule Noticed and Might Turn out to be a New Crossover
An enigmatic Opel mule has been noticed by paparazzi in Northern Europe.
The prototype was developed from the Peugeot 2008. It can be characterized by an extended wheelbase and a more massive C-pillar. The vehicle has also gained a Citroen helm and an assortment of testing equipment.
Although, the most outstanding detail is the German identification tag and GG lettering. This determines that the mule is not from PSA Peugeot Citroen, but from Opel.
It is not stated clearly what this mule is intended for, but GM is creating two offerings developed from PSA platforms. A B-segment MPV and a C-segment crossover are included in them. The extended wheelbase along with the ride height might refer the mule to the C-segment crossover. It will be built at the PSA factory in France.
