New Opel Insignia will now be a crossover
PSA has planned to develop and release a new generation of its popular Opel Insignia in a different look.
The novelty is not a sedan, liftback or station wagon, but a crossover.
Auto Express writes that in recent years, the implementation of Opel Insignia has become worse, which is why the PSA group, which now has rights to Opel, wants to make a difference. A crossover will come to the rescue.
The rebirth of the Insignia model will turn out radical. In theory, the novelty will acquire a design that will remind the latest Renault Espace.
The base of the new Insignia will be the French platform EMP2. The machine will also have French engines, among which there will be a rechargeable hybrid installation.
On sale, the model is expected after 2022.
