Envisioning of Opel Ampera is based on Chevrolet Volt
An independent designer from Hungary has presented his vision of the next-gen Opel Ampera.
X-Tomi has grounded on the 2016 Chevrolet Volt which presents a possible outlook of the German offering. It can be characterized with an innovated front end featuring a new radiator enclosure and bumper grille. Moreover, the headlamps and fog lamps are redesigned. As to the rear end, it is virtually the same and has an Opel badge.
By the way, the Volt is equipped with a Voltec powerplant including an 18.4 kWh lithium-ion batt, an electric motor and a 1.5-litre V4 engine. The engine serves as a range extender. The vehicle’s top speed is 98 mph (or 157 km/h). It can ride up to 50 miles (or 80 km) on electricity on a single charge. As to the overall range, it features 420 miles (or 676 km).
