Electric Opel Astra is being prepared for 2023

Opel planned to start sales of the electric version of the new generation, Astra, in 2023. 

The new model will be called Opel Astra-e.

Today, Opel has two electric cars in its lineup - electric versions of the Mokka compact crossover and the Corsa minicar. The Astra-e will be the third electric car of the German company.

We recall that in a few days, the standard Opel Astra of the new generation will debut. The car is based on EMP2, which is present in the new Peugeot 308.

The engine range includes a couple of engines, for example, a 3-cylinder 1.2-liter gasoline unit and a 4-cylinder 1.5-liter diesel. Also, the buyers will receive hybrid versions of the cars.

The main rival of the new Astra is the Volkswagen Golf.
