Nissan Qashqai will be Equipped With 1.6-Liter Turbocharged Gasoline Powertrain
Nissan has presented a turbocharged gasoline powertrain with more power in the Qashqai of the second generation.
Nissan told that their innovated Qashqai will gain a 1.6-littre turbocharged V4 Dig-T powertrain on gasoline after they started launching the model. The engine will be able to produce 150 hp (or 120 kW) at 5,600 rpm. It also will be capable of torque of 240 Nm (pr 177 lb-ft) between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. In such a way, the crossover will be able to return 48.7 mpg UK (or 40.5 mpg US) or, in another words, it will be 5.8 litres / 100 km in the cycle with suitable CO2 pollutants of 134 g/km.
The DIG-T 163 powertrain will be offered preeminently with a manual transmission of six speeds which sends the power to the front wheels. The model with this engine will be able to make 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) in 9.1 seconds. Its top speed will be 124 mph (or 200 km/h).
The Nissan Qashqai DIG-T 163 is already possible to order. The model will go on sale from January 2015. Some sources say that the smaller 1.2 DIG-T powertrain capable of 115 hp (or 85 kW) may be created soon with an innovated Xtronic gearbox.
