The future Mitsubishi Outlander will prepare a 3-row salon and a hybrid installation
The Outlander SUV, which is Mitsubishi's bestseller, will receive a new performance in 2020.
It is assumed that the car will share an architecture with the new Nissan X-Trail since both SUVs will receive the CMF-C/D platform from Renault-Nissan. Much of the novelty can tell Engelberg Tourer concept, which debuted in Geneva.
The name of the prototype was given in honor of the ski resort, which is located in Switzerland. The exterior is completely created in the Mitsubishi brand style: there are an X-shaped front part and narrow DRL strips with headlights. The roof rack with built-in fog lights and video cameras instead of mirrors also looks interesting.
The prototype has a 3-row cabin, virtual panels and a multimedia system with a large sensor.
The SUV has a hybrid powerplant from the current Outlander PHEV. It includes a 2.4-liter gasoline aspirated unit and 2 electric motors. The electric tractor allows the concept to overcome 70 km of the WLTP cycle and 700 km in total on one full charge.
