Mitsubishi Does not Have Plans for Lancer Evo XI
Mitsubishi is thinking about a Lancer Evolution GSR with more power, but the news is not very sweet.
Don Swearingen, American Mitsubishi Motors administrative vice president stated during an AMA on Jalopnik that the automaker does not have any thoughts about an Evo XI, though there will be an outstanding send-off variant of the current vehicle that will be launched between June and July of 2015. The outstanding offering is going to be GSR of five speeds having more power and a modified suspension together with other modifications which are still in the process of finalization. There will be a limit of only 2,000 production models.
Now the automaker’s last variant is the plug-in hybrid Outlander which ia already on a worldwide sale, but has not been launched in North America yet. The vice president stated during the AMA that the automaker also wants to launch another vehicle instead of the Galant. It will probably be version with a plug-in hybrid engine.
