130,000 Units fall under Mitsubishi Outlander and Lancer Recalls
More than 130,000 vehicles were affected by two Mitsubishi recalls.
The first automaker’s recall affected the 2011 Outlander Sport, 2009-2011 Lancer, 2010-2011 Lancer Sportback, and 2010-2011 Lancer Evolution. Almost 77,000 vehicles fall under recall because of a problem with windshield defroster. The Japanese automaker tells that it may fail because of an imperfect blower motor.
The second recall touches the 2009-2010 Outlander, 2009-2010 Lancer, 2010 Lancer Sportback and 2010 Lancer Evolution. The issue is that the windshield wipers, tail lights and headlamps may stop their work because of an unstable electronic control unit. Almost 53,400 vehicles fall under this recall. The automaker will notify all customers who have bought the affected cars and the faulty details will be replaced in the dealerships for free.
