2015 MINI JCW received 260 HP thankfully to Maxi-Tuner

Maxi-Tuner has treated the new generation MINI JCW (John Cooper Works).

The most appealing of the MINI hatches has an outstanding output punch of 231 hp (or 170 kW). The power is provided by a 2.0-litre V4 turbocharged petrol engine which can produce torque up to 320 Nm (or 236 lb-ft). In comparison with the previous gen, the engine’s power is increased by 10% while its torque is up by 23%. Customers who seek for more power can obtain an upgrade package from Maxi-Tuner.

This set adds 29 hp (or 21 kW) and torque of 70 Nm (or 52 lb-ft) through a plug-in play ECU remap. In such a way, the total numbers of the vehicle’s output equal to 260 hp (or 191 kW) and torque of 390 Nm (or 288 lb-ft). The tuner also provides better throttle response. Moreover, customers can opt for €990 sport exhaust system having flap control. It also has 70mm tailpipes.

There are no details about the car’s performances. We are sure that it is faster than the regular MINI JCW. The last one accelerates 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) in 6.3 seconds being equipped with the regular manual transmission. Having an optional 6-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox with launch control allows the car to sprint in 6.1 seconds.
