2014 MINI will be Uncovered on November 18
Before the fresh 2014 MINI makes its American debut at the LA Auto Show, the iconic British car will first be uncovered at the Company’s Factory Oxford on November 18, 2013 at a special show.
That date points the 107th birthday of a man named Sir Alec Issigonis, the designer who is credited with providing the original MINI its style and substance. The factory will host the global premiere, followed by a party in London on the same evening. Just two days later, the brand-new 2014 MINI will move to both the Japan and LA Auto Events, where it will be shown off once more.
The 2014 MINI Cooper is a little bit larger than the current car with the front end’s overhang noticeably larger. The front windshield is further raked back for a sleeker style and the LED daytime running lights now form a ring that encircles almost the entire headlight.
Base 2014 MINI Coopers are going to have between 120 and 200 hp generated by a 3-cylinder motor, but don’t be surprised if JCW versions pump out closer to 300 hp.
