The next-gen MINI will make its public debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, and the British company has unleashed a fresh video presenting it.
Constructed on a new front-wheel-drive platform, the 2014 MINI has been spotted during the recent weeks and will make its official debut at the Oxford factory where it’s created. Notably, the 2014 MINI Cooper S with its 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo motor will have 193 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque, while a short-term overboost feature will kick torque up to 223 lb-ft. The 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder motor will have 135 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque with the overboost feature bumping it up to 171 lb-ft. Finally, a diesel powerplant will be offered in the form of a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder with 117 hp and 201 lb-ft of torque.
