The Smart System of Driving for 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Mercedes-Benz is working hard on its next-gen of adaptive cruise control. The system is said to bring the automaker one step further to autonomous driving.
This characteristic will probably be available sometime in March next year when the producer’s latest E-Class will be launched for sale. This will be a step forward the already stunning Distronic Plus system which is being offered in the flagship S-Class offering.
With a battery of other sensors and cameras this new cruise-control feature can navigate corners and steer the car. It can even regulate speed drawing on street signs. There are some moments which might confuse the technology. Although, road construction and shadows cast by trees can confuse the smart technology.
If the driving becomes too hard, for example, a turn that is excessively sharp, the driver needs to intervene. The system will give a warning, so that the driver had a sufficient amount of time. The automaker’s latest cruise control can be used at speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
Moreover, the smart system can even detect pedestrians. If someone will be spotted in its path, the car will stop if it is riding at less than 40 miles per hour.
