SL 550 Mille Miglia 417 Edition from Mercedes-Benz
The metal limited-run SL 550 Mille Miglia 417 Edition from Mercedes-Benz was snapshot in America.
Currently everybody is waiting for the facelifted SL to be revealed. Pictures of the rare “Mille Miglia 417 Edition” were available for the SL 500 and SL 400 (SL 550 in America). This pack was created to celebrate 60 years from a 300 SL (that had the racing number “417” and was driven by John Fitch, a racer from the U.S.) It received victory in its range at Mille Miglia. It happened so that the race began at 4:17 AM and finished after 992 miles (or 1,547 km) in 11 hours, 29 minutes and 21 seconds.
The design night black magno matte colour in combination with red and matte carbon touches is the most surprising visual update. The vehicle rides with 19-inch AMG Performance wheels at the front. At the back they have got 20 inches. If you step inside the cabin, you will see AMG Line sports seats with carbon-reminding leather. Besides, there is a red trim. It is also used on the helm.
Propulsion for the SL 550 variant derives from the well-known 4.7-litre eight-cylinder engine that provides 449 hp (or 335 kW) at 5,250 rpm. This is enough to accelerate 0-60 mph (or 0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds.
The facelifted SL will make its official debut next week. This will happen at the Auto Show held in L.A.
