Rendering of Audi TT competitor from Mercedes-Benz
A competitor for the Audi TT from Mercedes-Benz has been speculatively envisioned by famous Theophilus Chin.
The offering is expected to take part of an extended range of the next-gen A-Class. It will be equipped with an evolutional MFA platform. Power will be received from transversely-mounted engines. It will be sent to an optional 4MATIC four-wheel drive setup or to the front axle.
TT from Mercedes-Benz is rumoured to spawn a high-class variant generating 400 hp (or 298 kW) which will be sent to both axles through a dual-clutch six-speed automatic gear box. The vehicle will be able to reach 62 mph (or 100 km/h) sprint in 4.5 seconds. As to its top speed, it will be an electronically-limited 155 mph (or 250 km/h). In such a way, it will really be a worthy rival to the Audi TT RS.
The vehicle under consideration will take the shape of a 2+2 coupe with a liftback layout. It will give access to a 350-litre trunk. The name has not been announced yet. Though, there is a possibility not to call it A-Class Coupe, since the automaker is going to use “SLA” or something similar to that.
If the production will receive green light, Daimler’s Tourist Trophy (TT) will arrive in four years.
