Mercedes Should Reveal GLA Facelift Next Monday
The GLA has been on sale for more than 3 years and now it should get a minor mid-cycle upgrade to stay fresh and competitive in the high-end crossover segment.
It was the case with the CLA, A-Class and CLA Shooting Brake facelifts, the cosmetic updates will be kept down to a minimum as the automaker’s designers will update the bumpers with a light cosmetic surgery. Taillights and headlamps will also be slightly changed.
As for the interior, it is the same story. However, the automaker can decide to spice everything up with new trims and colours for new customization options. The infotainment set-up should also be updated.
The GLA 45 which stands on the top of the range should solider on with 375 hp and torque of 359 pound-feet. The power will come from a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine used in the other AMG offerings of the A-Class range. The engine will be joined to the 4Matic FWD set-up and power will go through a 7-speed, dual-clutch gearbox. The car will be able to sprint 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.
