Mercedes S-Class "Pullman" is Going to Compete Rolls-Royce Phantom
Despite the fact Maybach being a veteran, Daimler hopes that the platform for its fresh Mercedes-Benz S-Class can fill a void the extra-luxury vehicle left behind.
The German brand is going to use its S-Class to manufacture a Rolls-Royce Phantom enemy according to Daimler executive Dieter Zetsche. The fresh S-Class was manufactured to support 6 various vehicles, along with 3 various wheelbases trying to broaden Mercedes-Benz’s appeal in the high-end, luxury market.
“Pullman” vehicle will be placed at the top of the line-up, planned to be constructed on an extra-long-wheelbase version of the S-Class with extra luxury in mind. The 2014 S-Class, which will be seen in auto-stores this fall, will eventually be delivered with 3 various wheelbases: standard, long, and ultra-long.
“We see a chance to broaden our leadership at the top end of the luxury vehicle market,” informed Zetsche in an interview with Carsbase. ”We are going to increase the number of cars, and a Pullman is the part of these plans.”
