Mercedes-Benz says goodbye to X-Class pickup
Since May 2020, Mercedes-Benz will entirely complete the production of the X-Class pickup truck.
Auto Motor und Sport informs that the reason for the completion of the car sale was its poor sales.
Mercedes-Benz X-Class appeared at the end of 2017. In the beginning, the model was supposed to become global, but the demand for it was only in limited countries, such as in South Africa and South Africa. A pickup truck could be made in Argentina, but Daimler decided that the price of the car did not coincide with the prices that customers in South America expected.
In 2018, the X-Class was purchased in the amount of 16,700 cars, and in 2019, sales fell to 15,300 units. Experts are sure that the pickup came out too expensive when compared with other models.
