Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe Received 720 hp Thankfully to IMSA
German company IMSA has designed a power set for the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe.
The aftermarket regulators were using a 4MARKET four-wheel drive variant and have created an outstanding exterior. They replaced the regular wheel treads with their 21-inch forged alloy wheels of light weight which are wrapped around in 255/35 R21 front and 295/30 R21 back tires.
The most significant innovation happened under the long cowl. The 5.5-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo powertrain has gained some software tweaks. It also gained innovated sportive air filters, modified turbocharged outlet system, intercooler radiator, enhanced air flow rate and modified x-cross central deafener for the exhaust.
The modifications have enhanced the powertrain’s output from 585 hp (or 230 kW) and torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) to nearly 720 hp (or 529 kW) and a top torque of 1,080 Nm (or 796 lb-ft). The information about performance has not been revealed yet, but the model will be quicker than the stock vehicle with the need of 3.9 seconds for 62 mph (or 100 km/h) and electronically restricted at 155 mph (or 250 km/h).
IMSA stated that in the near future they will produce more tuning sets for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. They stressed on the vehicles having the AMG badge. The S-Class Coupe will gain some power upgrading and a custom aerodynamic body kit in some time.
