2016 GLE-Class from Mercedes will cost starting from $52,025
Mercedes has announced pricing for its 2016 GLE-Class.
The vehicle will replace the M-Class. The price for the base offering will kick off from $52,025 together with destination. A customer will have to pay $2,500 more in order to get the 4Matic four-wheel drive. Clients who want to have a diesel engine may choose from the GLE300d 4Matic ($53,425) and the GLE400 4Matic with more power ($65,525).
The first AMG variant in the range will cost $100,875 for the GLE63 AMG. At the same time, customers will have to pay $108,825 for the flagman GLE63 S AMG. A plug-in hybrid model will be added to the GLE-Class range later only in zero-emission car states. The automaker did not announce pricing on the GLE500e 4Matic.
The 2016 Mercedes GLE 350 will receive power from a six-cylinder engine producing 320 hp and torque of 273 lb-ft. The turbocharged six-cylinder of GLE400 will output 329 hp and torque of 354 lb-ft. The eight-cylinder GLE63 will generate 550 hp and 516 lb-ft. As to the GLE 63 S AMG, it will produce more than 577 hp and 561 lb-ft. The regular GLE offerings will be equipped with 7-speed automatic gear boxes while AMG offerings will ride with a 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT.
The GLE300d will have 201 hp and torque of 369 lb-ft. The power will be received from the 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 diesel engine.
The 2016 Mercedes GLE-Class will hit the dealerships this August.
