Virtual Configurator for 650S Spider from McLaren

This year’s Geneva did not only host the presentation of 650S Spider, but also a simple way to customize the vehicle – an application of Design Studio.

The Design Studio application was developed for tablets in order to let the potential customers choose the exterior and interior looks of 650S Spider. App users can play with body finish, type of wheels and upholstery colours. The finished prototype can be displayed at a range of various picturesque backgrounds.

The 3,020-lbs sports convertible comes equipped with a twin-turbo with 8 cylinders and displacement of 3.8 litres pushing 641 hp and torque of 500 lb-ft. A sprint to 62 mph takes McLaren 650S astonishingly short 3 seconds. The convertible top can be retracted in 17 seconds if the mark on speedometer is below 19 mph.
