Teaser of the Upcoming McLaren Sport Series Released

McLaren has shown a new teaser photo of their next Sport Series.

The Sport Series is going to be introduced at the Auto Show in New York. It can be characterized with distinctive doors having carbon fibber inserts which flow into carbon fibber air intakes.

Judging from previous reports, the model will kick off with a high-performance S variant and an entry-level C. The company has not given much information about specifications, though it is known that the vehicle will have a carbon fibber monocoque and a 3.8-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine. All the details are kept in secret, but the producer has already confirmed that the engine will generate more than 500 hp (or 372 kW). It will be joined to a seven-speed dual-clutch gear box.

The company’s CEO told that depending on the market the Sport Series will have a competitive price to the Turbo S or Porsche 911.
