Production Of The 1st McLaren 720S
A new era for the British producer has started.
The latest McLaren 720S was revealed earlier in April at the Motor Show held in Geneva. It presented the 2nd-gen McLaren Super Series. Full production has already started at the company’s Production Centre in Woking, surrey (England). The 1st unit was finished there. The Glacier White offering is ready to be driven by its owner. Besides, the final example of the 1st-gen Super Series has exited the plant and concluded the P11 offering range.
The producer will present 15 new offerings by the end of 2022. The 720S is the 1st one among them. This supercar is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder motor producing 720 hp. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds. The car’s top speed stands at 212 mph.
The automaker stated that more than 7,000 units were marketed since the launch of the 12C back in 2011. The 1st-gen Super Series family also spreads on the 12C Spider, 650S and 650S Spider, the 675LT and 675LT Spider offerings.
