Problems with McLaren's MP4-12C Windscreen Wipers Resulted in Recall

The whole range of McLaren MP4-12C model released for sale in 2012-2014 faces a recall due to defective windscreed wipers.

Only sports cars of MP4-12C line which were sold or are registered within six American states will be recalled. This decision of McLaren will mostly affect the South, notably, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. 376 cars will be recalled because of the problems with windscreen wipers.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that high humidity and heat may lead to jams of wiper motors and result in wiper failure. In regard to the USA, eight cases of faulty wipers have been registered in Miami and one more in Tampa. The company will inform the owners of malfunctioning wipers about the recall. The change for operable wiper motors will be free of charge.
