McLaren teasers its Dearest Sport Series in Video
The entry-level model from McLaren is ready for the presentation at the Auto Show in New York, but the British sports car producer speaks up about it one more time.
The teaser video was shown at the end of the company’s media event in Geneva and it gives the best view of the 911 Turbo fighter from McLaren ever. The teaser lasts only 20 seconds, but it is distinct that the model has the same front fascia as in the new 675LT and P1 and a little bit updated and rounded back end.
McLaren Chief Executive explained that the automaker will produce three types of cars. The famous “Super Series” includes the 650S and 67LT. The producer also defined the “Ultimate Series” which consist of the McLaren P1 and P1 GTR. As to the Sport Series, it will present more affordable offerings. According to the reports, the price will be near $200,000.
There are also rumours about a 3.8-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine which will generate 500 hp in the Sport Series. The Sport Series will probably be deprived of the active aerodynamics or adaptive suspension installation alike in the 650S for the purpose of lowering the prices. Watch the video below and see the prototype model.
