McLaren Sports Series will be named 570S
One of the last reports states that the first offering of the McLaren Sports Series will be named “570S’.
Its premiere will take place next month in New York at the Auto Show. The automaker’s entry-level offering will have the 570S moniker. The last one indicates the 3.8-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine. The engine is able to generate 570 hp (419 kW). It is already known that there will be a C variant. Moreover, there are chances that the Club offering will be commercialized in Asia and will have a little bit less power, alike the 650S which has 650 hp. As to the 625C, it generates 625 hp.
After presentation of the coupe, the producer will introduce a Spider variant. After that it will present a Grand Tourer derivative which has more trunk space. With the course of the vehicle’s lifespan, a more hardcore offering will be developed. It will feature more power and will lose weight. There is a chance that it will be the Long Tail variant which has been already confirmed by the company’s director.
The facts prove that the 570S will receive carbon fibber monocoque, just as its more costly relatives. The car will feature a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The performance range will equal to 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) run in less than 4 seconds. As to the top speed, it will be near 180 mph (or 290 km/h).
All the details will be available at the first part of April. Then McLaren 570S will debut at the Auto Show in New York. The vehicle will cost $180,000 in America.
