Skyactiv Technology engines powered about 1 million Mazda autos
For over 2 years Japanese automakers've powered their cars with Skyactiv engines. The new technology promoted improving fuel efficiency. One million Mazda model has been just announced since Skyactiv Technology was first set to the car. This innovation is appealed to improve fuel economy.
Skyactiv 2.0-liter I-4 powering engine is completed with the manual transmission which has reduced internal friction function. This power plant was added by improved exhaust headers and an i-ELOOP regenerative braking system. The very first car model mounted by the Skyactiv Technology engine was Mazda CX-5 crossover. Midsize sedan Mazda 6 isn't powered by the Skyactiv.
Japanese engineers're working over the Skyactiv engine powered by diesel. Moreover, the new-generation MX-5 Miata will debut next year at the Chicago auto show with 2 simultaneous Skyactiv power trains. One of the engines is 99-hp 1.4-liter I-4. The other is 2.0-liter I-4 power train taken from the current Miata will produce at 167-hp.
