Preview of a Mazda MX-5 Miata Rival
Toyota took off wraps from its latest S-FR concept at the Motor Show held in Tokyo. The concept previewed sporty tiny Mazda MX-5 Miata competitor.
The S-FR is a little 2+2. It boasts rear-wheel and front-engine drive set-up. It will be a little bit smaller than the Toyota GT86/Scion FR-S. The vehicle will have 2,480 mm wheelbase. It will be 1,695 mm wide and 3,990 mm long. The automaker has not given any information about the car’s engine and power. However, we know that it will weigh around 2,000 lbs. Besides, we assume that it will be able to squeeze 130 hp from its V4 engine.
The S-FR promises a back-to-basics sporty drive. It should be a raw and lightweight vehicle. It may be not that fast, but still fun. The car will rival with the Miata. The new offering will benefit from an all-round independent suspension and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
This attractive tiny offering will definitely be very wanted by the customers. Unfortunately, we do not know if the vehicle will reach production.
