New CX-4 Crossover from Mazda was spotted without Camouflage
The youngest member of the Mazda crossover family has been snapped in China.
It is the production variant of the Koeru concept. We remind you that it was introduced at the last year’s Motor Show held in Frankfurt. The crossover will probably have the CX-4 nameplate. The production version is a toned-down variant of the concept. The shape and dimensions were maintained with smaller wheels and less aggressive fenders in comparison with the 21-inch rollers of the concept. The CX-4 hints at the Koeru’s production design.
The CX-4’c cabin will remind of the latest Mazda CX-9. It was presented at the last year’s Auto Show in Los Angeles.
The CX-4 will be placed between the midsized CX-5 and the subcompact CX-3. Just like the CX-3, it is going to be a sporty crossover. However, it will have more practical sides, interior and cargo space. The 2.0-litre SkyActiv unit that equips the CX-5 and a 1.5-litre diesel engine found in the CX-3 will power the model.
