Mazda3 Hybrid Uncovered for Japan
Mazda has unveiled its hybrid Mazda3 version, which will arrive dealerships in Japan next month.
Currently, Mazda hasn’t informed if the vehicle will be going to other markets. What it did brag about however is that the Mazda3 hybrid will be the first time that a Japanese company is offering 3 different powertrains for a single model: gasoline, diesel and hybrid.
The Mazda3 hybrid includes a SkyActiv-G 2.0-liter motor paired to an electric motor though performance figures weren’t uncovered. Pricing however is about $24,100 (2.37-million yen). It’ll be thrilling to see if Mazda finds it advantageous to offer the Mazda3 hybrid in other markets, featuring North America.
