Mazda2 will not be sold in the U.S.
Mazda is strict about the fact that the "2" supermini is not going to be sold in America. This is because the automaker does not consider the offering to be a lasting business case.
Cheap petrol and limited supply at the plant in Salamanca (Mexico) caused Mazda’s decision not to sell the “2” in the United States. Senior vice-president of the automaker’s operations in America wants to bring the offering under consideration stateside. Though, the company will probably allocate resources to other offerings which can supply a bigger profit.
Do not forget about the recently presented 2016 Scion iA. Actually, it is a rebadged Mazda2 Sedan. Its price will kick off in the mid-$16,000 extent. The iA will be equipped with a 1.5-litre V4 normally aspirated engine providing 106 hp (or 79 kW). The power will be sent to the front axle with the help of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gear box.
