Maserati Earned More Money than Ferrari in the Third Quarter
Maserati has coped with posting more reasonable benefit than Ferrari in the third quarter of this year.
The automaker says that they coped to top the quarterly benefit of Ferrari’s vehicle manufacturing firstly since 1993.
Maserati reported its third quarter operating benefit of €90 million. This number is twice bigger than the last year period’s gain which composes €43 million. Ferrari’s operating gain was €89 million in the period from July till September, up by €1 million in comparison with Q3 of 2013.
It is needed to remind that Maserati coped to overcome Ferrari in the profits of the third quarter because of leaving of Ferrari’s leader, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. His departure had a very bad impact on the company’s finances. Though, in the result, Ferrari is still more beneficial than Maserati. As to the first nine months of 2014, they have already gained an operation benefit of €274 million. In the same time, Maserati has gained a profit of €210 million.
The growing sales of the Quattroporte and Ghibli, Maserati has tripled its distributions in the first nine months of this year because of delivering 26,428 vehicles (the number increased from 7,548). In the same time the sales of Ferrari decreased by 1% which is 5,280 units.
