Ghibli and Quattroporte from Maserati to Faster Leave Assembly Lines
Summer is expected to be really hot for Maserati which is forced to enliven its production due to high popularity of models.
Assembly lines will have to become busier with Ghibli and Quattroporte approximately by one-fifth. In more concrete terms, Turin-based production facility of the luxury brand will give out 900 units every seven days until autumn comes.
Another incentive to boost production comes from parent Fiat which envisions that in 4 years 75,000 Maserati cars will be sold annually. On the other hand, these decisions come from a rational standpoint: if it weren’t for brand’s popularity, assembly plans would stay the same. Meanwhile, 2014 already seems to be twice as profitable for the company compared to last year.
In order to keep up with the new plan, the brand reschedules working conditions. From now on more Saturday shifts will be introduced and vacation for employees will become shorter.
