Fresh News About 2015 Maserati Levante
Constructed on the base of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and planned to be the auto maker’s volume seller, Maserati’s Levante SUV has stayed more-or-less in the shadow despite its vital importance for the auto brand.
This will change soon as the SUV showed in the Kubang concept comes closer to production, which will occur in Italy. Actually, the brand had aimed to construct its elegant SUV along with the Grand Cherokee, but high demand for the American soft-roader kept it from proceeding.
Hoped to start in the first half of 2015, Maserati will provide both the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 410 hp and a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 530 hp while the European stores will also be offered a diesel version.
Expect an 8-speed automatic transmission and a variant of the all-wheel drive system currently found in the Quattroporte. Maserati will draw on the Jeep auto maker’s off-road expertise as well, but the car will be pavement biased with an interior close in style to the Quattroporte.
Last year, Maserati delivered barely 7,000 units, but the brand is going to raise its number to as much as 50,000.
