Quality Anxiety of Lexus to Ban Chinese Plants

Assembly lines of a lot of brands are located in China, but Lexus does not follow the trend and explains such a choice by uncertainty of output quality.

The whole array including the most renowned German and American automakers have opted for China as the production site country. Lexus stands apart with its position of refraining from Chinese assembly facilities stating that quality of cars is more important than massive manufacturing.

Concerns of the luxury brand are understandable: the quality of the product is the hallmark which let the company earn so many grateful clients, and it is a single aspect not to be compromised. Decision to refrain from Chinese production will not lead to the change of sales policy, informs CEO of Lexus. Expensive cars will be shipped to crucial PRC market in the same volume as before.
