Nurburgring met the 2017 Land Rover Discovery
The next year’s Land Rover Discovery showed up at the Nürburgring.
The updated version (5) is still camouflaged, but the British producer started the testing phase. So, soon, we’ll see fewer clothes on the model. The vehicle will be launched in 2017. Paparazzi managed to catch the vertical air inlets on the outer sides of the front bumper.
Unfortunately, the exterior is safely covered, but we got pictures of the interior. The new model will feature a simplified centre console styling. The focus will be put on the infotainment screen. It will be surrounded by buttons. The climate controls are separated from the interface.
There is a rotating button. It serves as a gear selector, very alike to Jaguar offerings. The automaker excluded the big red emergency switches. They are used only on the prototypes in case of an accident or fire.
The latest Discovery will lose much weight because of its new aluminium platform. Besides, its boxy design will be changed into a more modern one. The British producer will offer a wide range of new motors. Diesel, petrol and hybrid powerplants will be offered.
