Insiders found out that the car will receive the MLA modular aluminum base, which will allow the introduction of electric units in the motor line, reduce the weight of the vehicle, and also increase the fuel economy of model modifications with standard units.

The radical design of the new Range Rover Sport will not change. The engine compartment of the vehicle will include moderate and rechargeable hybrid systems. The main option will be the electrified inline V6 Ingenium. Top versions will get a 4.4-liter V8 engine. Hybrid variants of the car will be followed by the all-electric 2-engine Range Rover Sport, approximately after 2023.
