New "Landy" Trademark by Land Rover
Land Rover is currently making the name “Landy”, which is a potential name for the future SUV, official.
The trademark application submitted in December enumerates a whole range of objects, including cars, upholstery and securing the franchise. Now the old rumours get the second life with the auto community suggesting that production of a modern urban SUV stemming from Evoque and DC100 concept has always been an aspiration of Land Rover.
The rumours are actually based on the information released by the company claiming that SUV might appear in the lineup. The talks, however, ended without any further proceedings. On the other hand, Land Rover has a sound reason to consider the new model with MINI and BMW successfully marketing their current front-wheel-drive cars.
